Drug companies AstraZeneca and Amneal have settled a patent infringement lawsuit over Amneal's application to sell a generic version of AstraZeneca diabetes drug Byetta, according to a Monday filing in Delaware federal court.

AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP slapped Amneal Pharmaceuticals LLC with a patent infringement suit in Delaware federal court Thursday, claiming the generic-drug maker's plans to make a version of AstraZeneca's diabetes drug come before the patents on it expires.
