Checkpoint Systems Inc. on Monday challenged a $10.27 million attorneys' fees award it was ordered to pay to two security companies after losing a patent infringement case, telling the Federal Circuit that a lower court erred in deeming the case "exceptional" under the Octane Fitness ruling.
