    Checkpoint Systems Asks Fed. Circ. To Drop $10M Attys' Fees

    Checkpoint Systems Inc., after losing a patent infringement case, urged a Federal Circuit panel Friday to scrap a $10.27 million attorneys' fees penalty to two security companies, saying the notion that Checkpoint brought an exceptional lawsuit under the Octane Fitness standard is belied by years of rulings keeping the case alive.
