A day after oral arguments, Federal Circuit judges on Thursday sided with a successful challenge mounted by Fitbit against a patent involved in one of the Google brand's long-standing disputes with an early wearable-tech competitor.

Apple and Fitbit were each slapped with lawsuits by wearable tech company Valencell Inc. on Monday over allegations that they learned Valencell technology secrets through deceptive practices rather than legal partnerships with the company in order to make devices that infringe on a number of Valencell patents.
