Fifth Street Asset Management asked a Connecticut federal court on Wednesday to move a class action claiming it misled investors ahead of its 2014 initial public offering to the Southern District of New York, saying in an uncontested motion the suit is nearly identical to three others already in Manhattan.

A proposed class of investors filed suit against Fifth Street Asset Management in Connecticut federal court Thursday, claiming the company lied about its funds' performance to stoke stockholder interest in the months leading up to its $102 million initial public offering.
