A hedge fund whose $230 million tax payment was allegedly stolen with the support of the Russian government urged the Second Circuit to take the extraordinary step of disqualifying its former counsel at BakerHostetler from representing an accused fraud profiteer, saying that the reputation of the entire legal profession could suffer from a bad judgment.
