Tax Preparer's False Returns Cost US Millions, DOJ Says
As tax season gets underway, the U.S. Department of Justice filed a lawsuit in Illinois federal court Thursday to stop a tax preparer that may have cost the government $8.2 million in 2015 tax revenue from filing more fraudulent returns.
