9th Circ. Dismisses Class Actions Over Slave Labor Labeling
The Ninth Circuit on Tuesday shut down six separate but related proposed consumer class actions alleging that a handful of candy and pet food companies weren't disclosing on their labels that child slave labor is used in their supply chains, tying up loose ends left after a June decision rejecting the claims.

Cat Food Cos. Urge 9th Circ. To Affirm Slave Labor Dismissals
Nestle Purina PetCare Co. and Iams Co., each accused in separate lawsuits of hiding from consumers that the fish in their cat food products was caught by slaves in Thailand, urged the Ninth Circuit on Friday to affirm each suit's dismissal, saying they met the proper disclosure requirements mandated by California law.
