A Massachusetts federal judge on Monday tossed an antitrust and breach-of-contract suit that a spurned Boston NBC affiliate brought against Comcast Corp., ruling Comcast didn't break any laws when it chose to drop the station starting next year.

Comcast Corp. urged a Massachusetts federal court Tuesday to dismiss an antitrust and breach-of-contract suit brought by a spurned Boston NBC affiliate, saying the station failed to bargain for extension rights in its contract and now claims rights it's not entitled to.

Comcast Corp. replaced a Boston-area NBC affiliate with one of its own stations, in violation of antitrust laws and an affiliate agreement that Comcast signed when it bought a majority stake in NBCUniversal Inc. in 2011, the affiliate alleged on Thursday in Massachusetts federal court.
