SEC Wins $13M Disgorgement From Calif. Real Estate Biz
A California federal judge determined Monday that a real estate firm will disgorge nearly $13 million to settle U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission allegations that the company's boss defrauded investors by raising money through an unregistered common-stock offering then diverting the cash for personal profit.

SEC Sues Calif. Real Estate Head Over 'Evolving' Scheme
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday brought fraud claims against the head of a real estate company in California federal court, alleging the businessman led a scheme to defraud investors for his personal gain, then sought to cover up his acts after being questioned by the feds.
