Generic-drug maker Impax Laboratories asked a New Jersey federal judge Monday to toss Endo Pharmaceuticals' $100 million lawsuit alleging it is refusing to negotiate royalty payments on a generic version of the painkiller Opana ER, saying a 2010 settlement allows royalty-free marketing and sale of the drug.

Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc. launched a suit in New Jersey federal court Wednesday claiming generic drugmaker Impax Laboratories owes it more than $100 million for breaching a patent licensing agreement by refusing to negotiate compensation payments for the marketing and sale of a generic version of painkiller Opana ER.
