Michelin Settles Tread Patent Row With Tire Co.
Michelin settled a lawsuit in South Carolina federal court against a tire distributor over its work with a Thailand-based manufacturer to produce and sell tires in the U.S. that allegedly infringe Michelin's tire tread design patent, the company said in a statement Monday.

Michelin North America Inc. accused a tire distributor of working with a Thailand-based manufacturer to produce and subsequently sell tires in the U.S. that infringe one of its design patents for tire tread, lodging a complaint in South Carolina federal court on Friday.
