An Illinois federal judge on Wednesday awarded more than $5.2 million in attorneys' fees to Chamberlain Group Inc.'s lawyers at Winston & Strawn LLP and Fish & Richardson PC following the company's win in a patent infringement trial relating to garage door openers in which the $3.8 million jury verdict got tripled.

A Chicago federal jury has handed a victory worth more than $3.6 million to a designer of residential garage door openers, ruling that a Hong Kong-based technology company infringed two patents with its Ryobi-brand openers sold through Home Depot.
