The chairman of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina said Friday that the tribe had agreed to resolve its claims that Anheuser-Busch LLC and one of its distributors had used the tribe's trademarks without permission to promote and sell alcoholic beverages in exchange for a "sizable donation" from the distributor.

The Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina accused Anheuser-Busch LLC and one of its distributors in federal court Tuesday of using the tribe's trademarks without permission to promote and sell alcoholic beverages, noting that the advertisements have offended some of its members.
