A MarkWest Energy Partners subsidiary urged a Pennsylvania federal judge to chuck a construction company's $26 million contract suit, saying it's duplicative of the suit MarkWest filed in a Pennsylvania state court over the same troubled natural gas infrastructure construction project.

A MarkWest Energy Partners subsidiary gave a construction company inaccurate plans for projects to expand its Marcellus Shale natural gas processing facility in Pennsylvania, but refused to pay the $26 million necessary for the modifications, the construction company alleged Wednesday.
