The Humane Society of the United States is urging the Eleventh Circuit to side with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals in its attempt to revive a suit against Miami Seaquarium over its treatment of an orca named Lolita, saying the district court misinterpreted the Endangered Species Act when it drew distinctions between wild and captive animals.
