Mayer Brown LLP asked the Seventh Circuit on Monday to affirm the dismissal of a malpractice class action lawsuit against it related to a $1.5 billion loan to General Motors, saying the firm’s prior representation of the loan’s administrative agent, JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, in unrelated matters does not invoke a duty of care for the lenders.
