The chief judge of Delaware's Chancery Court fired back at a TransPerfect Global Inc. employee who sued him in New York federal court, saying the case is meritless, disturbing and an attempt to intimidate him in retaliation for his ordering the sale of the translation services company.

An employee of translation services company TransPerfect Global sued a Delaware chancellor and a court-appointed custodian in New York federal court on Tuesday, saying an order to sell the company includes violations of the First and Fourth amendments.
