San Diego Port Cleanup Settlement Valued At Around $5.8M
A California federal judge on Tuesday confirmed a settlement agreement potentially valued at $5.8 million committing Lockheed Martin Corp. and General Dynamics Corp. to pay for remediation of chemicals including mercury and cancer-linked polychlorinated biphenyls stemming from two locations in the San Diego Bay area.

San Diego Unified Port District sued aerospace company Lockheed Martin in California federal court on Thursday over chemical cleanup costs near Harbor Island, California, saying the corporation's marine terminal railway system contaminated the waters with mercury and other hazardous waste.
