A political advocacy group claiming to have the backing of late conservative leader Phyllis Schlafly has asked an Illinois federal judge to dismiss a trademark suit against them filed by several board members at Schlafly’s original advocacy group, arguing the issue has to play out in a state suit filed first.

An internal squabble between leaders of conservative activist Phyllis Schlafly's advocacy group landed in Illinois federal court on Thursday, this time alleging members of the Schlafly family, including Phyllis Schlafly herself, are responsible for setting up a copycat organization.
