Cybersecurity pioneer John McAfee agreed not to use his own name atop his firm or in connection with other cybersecurity products as part of a deal to end a lawsuit he brought against Intel Corp., according to filings in New York federal court on Wednesday.

A New York federal judge on Friday refused to grant John McAfee a preliminary injunction to block Intel from selling or transferring trademark rights that involve the word "McAfee," saying the cybersecurity pioneer and his company failed to show that irreparable harm would occur if Intel sold off or encumbered the name.
