The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission announced on Tuesday that it has won default judgment against a Florida company and its president over their roles in an illegal, off-exchange precious metals investment scheme that has already resulted in a separate $55 million fine.

Two years after winning a multimillion-dollar investment scam case against Hunter Wise Commodities LLC, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission on Tuesday filed a federal suit against a Florida company and its president who allegedly partnered with Hunter Wise and solicited investments in illegal, off-exchange precious metals transactions.
