Prison Co. Geo Wants Inmate Suit Over Misplaced Data Nixed
The Geo Group Inc. urged a California federal court Wednesday to toss litigation accusing the private prison company of misplacing personal health data for hundreds of inmates, arguing that a former inmate doesn’t allege a sufficient injury since she doesn’t contend the information was accessed without authorization or that it was even stolen.
