Email Scam Not Covered Computer Fraud, Mich. Judge Says
A die manufacturer is not entitled to coverage under a Travelers policy for $800,000 it lost when thieves posing as a vendor used fraudulent emails to deceive the company into wiring money to a sham bank account, a Michigan federal judge ruled Tuesday, holding that the scheme doesn't fit the policy's definition of computer fraud.
