The Ninth Circuit revived a trafficking suit from several Mexican veterinarians Monday, ruling that they'd presented enough evidence to support a reasonable inference that a dairy farm baited them into coming to Idaho with a promise of professional work and then hooked them, with deportation threats, into doing menial labor.

An Idaho dairy farm and its leadership have been cleared of allegations in federal court that they coerced several Mexican veterinarians to come to the United States on professional visas only to force them to perform menial labor in violation of federal anti-trafficking laws.

An Idaho federal judge on Thursday dismissed an attorney named in a suit brought by Mexican veterinarians alleging that an Idaho dairy farm brought them to the U.S. for forced labor, saying that there was no evidence that the attorney had acted maliciously in preparing their visas.
