Eddie Bauer Reaches $10M Settlement Over 2016 Breach
Eddie Bauer and Veridian Credit Union have reached a $9.8 million settlement to end proposed class claims that the retailer's lax security measures contributed to a January 2016 data breach that saw more than 1 million Veridian customer accounts compromised.

Eddie Bauer Can't Shake Credit Union's Data Breach Suit
A Washington state federal judge on Thursday refused to toss a credit union's putative class action over a data breach at Eddie Bauer LLC, finding that allegations that the retailer failed to take reasonable security measures and to guard against unauthorized access to account holders' information were enough to prop up negligence and state law claims.

Eddie Bauer Wants Credit Union's Data Breach Suit Nixed
Eddie Bauer urged a Washington federal judge Thursday to toss a proposed class action claiming financial institutions have had to pick up the pieces after a 2016 data breach, saying Iowa law applies because the credit union leading the suit is based there and the allegations don't pass muster under that state's laws.
