A GigPeak Inc. shareholder dropped a challenge to the semiconductor and software firm's $250 million merger with Integrated Device Technology Inc., telling a Delaware federal court Tuesday that GigPeak released enough information about the deal to render the case moot.

A shareholder hit a semiconductor and software firm with a proposed class action in Delaware federal court on Wednesday, alleging the firm's board improperly had locked it into a $250 million merger agreement with Integrated Device Technologies that doesn't allow for competing bids and withheld information about those negotiations from shareholders.
