Two foreign investors in the companies behind a U.S. for-profit law school accused of hiding its noncompliance with American Bar Association accreditation standards were let out of a proposed class action brought by former students on Thursday, after a North Carolina federal judge ruled the court had no jurisdiction over them.

Students from the for-profit Charlotte School of Law told a North Carolina federal court Tuesday they have necessary standing and facts to support their claims that the school hid its noncompliance with American Bar Association accreditation standards.
