The Fifth Circuit on Thursday affirmed a trial court's dismissal of several Louisiana pension funds' allegations that accounting firm EisnerAmper LLP's failure to audit an investment fund cost them $100 million, ruling the funds should have first submitted the claims to Louisiana's accountant review panel.

Accounting firm EisnerAmper LLP urged the Fifth Circuit on Monday not to revive a lawsuit from Louisiana pension funds accusing it of complicity in a fraud perpetrated by Fletcher Asset Management that cost the funds $100 million, arguing the funds missed their only window to establish a viable claim.
