Cupcake Sushi Reaches Conditional Settlement With Rival
Cupcake Sushi LLC told a California federal court Monday that it has resolved the claims in its patent suit against its rival, Sushi Sweets, with the "unique confectionary dessert cake" maker saying the parties have reached a conditional settlement in the suit that accused a pastry chef of running off with Cupcake Sushi's trade secrets.

The founder of a "unique confectionary dessert cake," Cupcake Sushi, sued her rival, Sushi Sweets, in California federal court on Wednesday, claiming it infringed her patented creation after a pastry chef ran off with her recipes and other trade secrets and opened a new business behind her back.
