The D.C. federal judge presiding over an activist group's bid to make sure the White House complies with its statutory obligation to preserve presidential communications, including Donald Trump's endless stream of tweets and use of vanishing-message apps, on Wednesday pushed back against government arguments that court precedent "precludes judicial review" of the executive branch's compliance with the Presidential Records Act.
