Slawson To End North Dakota Drilling Suit After Permit Win
Slawson Exploration Co. Inc. on Thursday notified a North Dakota federal court it was ending its suit against the U.S. Department of the Interior after an administrative hearing favored the company and allowed it to continue oil and gas drilling in the state in the face of a challenge by the Mandan Hidatsa and Arikara Nation.

Slawson Wins Another OK To Drill Pending ND Tribal Appeal
A North Dakota federal judge on Monday again allowed Slawson Exploration Co. Inc. to continue oil and gas drilling in the state despite an administrative challenge by the Mandan, Hidatsa & Arikara Nation, finding the company had a strong chance of reversing the Interior Board of Land Appeals' decision to temporarily halt its operations pending the tribe's appeal.

Slawson Exploration Co. Inc. on Friday asked a North Dakota federal court to allow the company to continue drilling while a review of its permits by the Interior Board of Land Appeals is underway, saying the company will suffer significant losses if it’s forced to stop.
