A California federal judge on Friday agreed with COR Securities Holdings Inc. that a Morrison & Foerster LLP attorney can no longer represent Banc of California NA in a suit alleging the bank improperly accessed documents on a former executive's cloud account, saying the attorney is a necessary witness.

Morrison & Foerster LLP asserted Monday in California federal court that it should not be disqualified from representing the Banc of California NA in a case involving allegations that the bank improperly accessed a clearing services provider's cloud storage account, saying there is no evidence one of its attorneys viewed privileged documents.
