A New York federal judge tossed a lawsuit Tuesday brought against glass manufacturer Corning Inc. by a Black former worker who said she was denied career advancement opportunities and paid less than men, saying she failed to identify a solid comparator to show she was subjected to discrimination.

A New York federal judge rejected Corning Inc.'s bid to end a proposed class action alleging it denies black workers equal access to higher pay bands and networking opportunities, saying the class claims have enough meat to survive into discovery.
