A Wall Street veteran's suit against investment firm Hunt Companies for allegedly firing him without cause was trimmed in New York federal court after the judge found some of the claims had been abandoned, a partial victory for both parties.

The Hunt Companies Inc. lured a Wall Street veteran out of retirement by dangling a multimillion-dollar payday in front of him and then sacked him without cause after he built up the firm's business, according to a New York federal lawsuit the former executive filed Tuesday.
