A man accused of creating programs to cheat at Grand Theft Auto has admitted that he infringed Take-Two Interactive Software Inc.'s copyrights for the video game and will hand over an undisclosed amount of money.

A testy Manhattan federal judge spent an hour Wednesday criticizing counsel in Take-Two Interactive Software Inc.'s discovery spat with a defendant accused of creating infringing cheats for the video game "Grand Theft Auto," complaining the case is floundering because of "bad thinking" and "nonsense" filings.

A New York federal judge issued an order Thursday stopping an unemployed Georgia man from selling cheat programs used in Grand Theft Auto video games, finding that the company behind the series of games had shown it has a good chance at proving the programs violated the company's copyright.
