Alaska Air and a woman claiming she was sexually assaulted by a former Virgin America executive have agreed to settle her suit seeking to hold the airlines liable for the alleged assault, according to filings in California federal court Monday.

Claims that Virgin America is liable for a former executive's alleged sexual assault of a woman can move forward, after a California federal judge held that the woman had adequately alleged that his conduct after a business conference was within the scope of his employment.
