Anheuser-Busch and Heineken asked a New York federal judge on Wednesday to dismiss an intellectual property lawsuit alleging Heineken infringed Anheuser-Busch's patented inventions designed to protect the quality of beer when it's poured from a keg.

Anheuser-Busch asked the U.S. International Trade Commission on Monday to drop an investigation into whether Heineken is infringing some of its keg patents, but the Dutch beer maker protested Tuesday, saying that it's too close to an evidentiary hearing to turn back now.
