Three conservation groups suing the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Marine Fisheries Service over a post-Deepwater Horizon disaster assessment of the effects of oil and gas drilling in the Gulf of Mexico on endangered species asked a Florida federal court Monday to rule that the agencies' eight-year delay violates federal law.
