Necco Board Insists D&O Suit Belongs In Bankruptcy Court
The former directors and officers of bankrupt candy maker New England Confectionery Co. Inc. on Monday reiterated their demands to have a suit accusing them of bankrupting the company by neglecting their fiduciary duties transferred to bankruptcy court, saying it makes no sense to have the suit in district court.

Necco Trustee Says Director Suit Should Stay In Fed. Court
The Chapter 11 trustee of bankrupt candy maker New England Confectionery Co. Inc. told a Massachusetts federal judge Thursday that his suit accusing the debtor's directors and officers of prepetition breaches of fiduciary duty shouldn't be moved to bankruptcy court because it isn't a core proceeding to the Chapter 11 case.

Necco Trustee Says Board Nixed Sweet Prebankruptcy Deal
The trustee representing the once iconic but now bankrupt New England Confectionery Co., better known as Necco, sued the company's board of directors Friday in Massachusetts federal court alleging they committed a gross breach of fiduciary duty by ignoring a promising buyout offer in order to benefit conflicted board members.
