    Expedia Can't Block United's Plan To Upend Air Ticket Pact

    A New York federal judge on Friday refused Expedia's attempt to temporarily stop United Airlines from blocking users from booking post-Sept. 30 flights after the parties' contract ends, saying the travel fare aggregator had not shown it will suffer irreparable injury if it doesn't win an injunction.

    United Airlines has told a New York federal court it should be allowed to bar Expedia users from booking flights that depart past the September expiration date for its contract with Expedia, saying the online ticketing giant has admitted customers "will suffer extreme confusion" when they later learn they can't confirm the flights.
