A Hawaii federal judge on Tuesday refused to toss claims against Talisman Casualty Insurance Co. in a suit over a metal fabrication company's breached deal to deliver steel for a project to build rail stations for the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation.

A metal fabrication company, with the help of affiliates, its owner and an insurance company, breached a deal with a Hawaii general contractor to deliver steel for a project to build rail stations, causing $5.7 million in damages, the contractor alleged in federal court Tuesday.
