Amtrak Rail Ownership Fight Won't Wait For Settlement Talks
A D.C. federal judge lauded efforts by Amtrak and the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority to mediate allegations that SEPTA wrongly claimed ownership to some of the rail giant's tracks and station facilities, but said Wednesday he's not inclined to grant their request to delay proceedings in the case.

'Absurd' Results If Amtrak Easement Suit Tossed, Judge Says
A D.C. federal judge on Thursday denied the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority's motion to toss allegations that it wrongly claimed an easement to some Amtrak tracks and station facilities, ruling the court has jurisdiction to hear the suit and that to find otherwise could lead to "absurd" or "bizarre" results.
