A New York federal judge on Wednesday threw out a suit brought by Whirlpool accusing Japanese electric motor manufacturer Nidec Corp. of dragging its heels in obtaining antitrust clearance for a $1.08 billion deal to acquire Whirlpool's refrigeration compressor business, deeming it premature.
