Concert Promoter Defrauded Christian Investors, SEC Says
A self-described Christian ministry that organizes religious music events raised more than $3 million from Christian investors who thought they were funding concerts and festivals, but the money was actually used to pay off debt, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said in a Thursday lawsuit.
