The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission recently hailed a $7.5 million victory handed up by a Texas jury, but the verdict could represent its first trial loss in an insider trading case since it was given the authority to prosecute such cases more than a decade ago, legal experts told Law360 on Thursday.
