InterContinental Hotels Group cannot erase a pension fund's demand for immediate payment of $6.5 million in withdrawal liability, a New York federal judge ruled Tuesday.

A multi-employer pension plan has sued InterContinental Hotels Group Resources LLC in New York federal court, accusing the hotel chain of skipping out on paying its liability for pulling out of the fund even though it still owed more than $6.5 million.
