No New Trial For Gigamon After EDTX Jury Axed Data Patents
U.S. District Judge Rodney Gilstrap denied Gigamon a new trial Tuesday in its network patent suit against rival Apcon, saying jurors were not wrongly swayed to rule for the defense, while also finding Gigamon's case wasn't so unreasonable that Apcon deserves attorney fees.

Gigamon Says EDTX Jury Biased Against Hedge Funds
Gigamon has asked U.S. District Judge Rodney Gilstrap for a new trial after a Texas jury found claims in its network data-management patents were invalid, saying the jurors were improperly swayed by the defendant's arguments that made Gigamon's new owner look like "a shadowy New York hedge fund."
