Juul Labs emerged victorious in arbitration last month against a former senior executive who said he was fired after trying to raise the alarm when the company allegedly shipped at least a million contaminated mint-flavored nicotine pods, according to a joint status report filed in California federal court.

A former executive of Juul Labs Inc. has hit the embattled e-cigarette maker with an explosive suit alleging it shipped at least 1 million tainted nicotine pods and failed to recall them despite his "insistence and protests," and then fired him to "set an example for other employees."
