Affiliates of Chubb insurance company urged a Delaware bankruptcy judge to disqualify Sidley Austin LLP as counsel to the Boy Scouts of America's Chapter 11 on Wednesday, citing the law firm's abrupt break with the insurers as it jumped into a mass tort bankruptcy in which Chubb's companies have a stake.

The Boy Scouts told the Delaware bankruptcy court late Wednesday the organization has reached a deal to keep a Chapter 11 stay barring further litigation in a trademark suit by the Girl Scouts in place until July 22 except for the limited purpose of mediating the case.

A Delaware bankruptcy judge expressed doubt Wednesday that the Boy Scouts' Chapter 11 stay barring further litigation in a trademark suit from the Girl Scouts isn't causing enough harm that it should be lifted, but gave the Boy Scouts more time to make their case.
