    Juul Labs Inc. is pushing to keep a set of antitrust lawsuits challenging Altria Group Inc.'s $12.8 billion deal to buy a stake in the e-cigarette startup out of multidistrict litigation over allegations that Juul deceptively marketed its products, saying the antitrust suits should just be grouped with themselves.

    A Juul Labs Inc. customer challenging Altria Group Inc.'s deal to buy a $12.8 billion stake in the e-cigarette startup asked a California federal court to merge his proposed antitrust class action with multidistrict litigation over Juul's marketing and sale of e-cigarettes to teens, saying both cases likely involved some overlapping discovery from defendants.

    Altria, Juul Face Consumer Antitrust Action Over $12.8B Deal

    A $12.8 billion deal between Juul and Altria "eliminated a potential competitor" for Juul and allowed it to gouge direct purchasers with artificially inflated prices, a Juul customer said in a proposed antitrust class action complaint filed against the companies in California federal court Tuesday.
